Legal Considerations for Your Business

business.lovetoknow.com

When you start a wholesale-to-retail business, you will need to obtain a federal tax identification number. You can apply for one on the internet on the IRS website. Using a business tax ID makes it possible for you to open a bank account in your business's name and it makes it much easier to separate your business income and personal income at tax time. You may also need a vendor's license if you plan to sell your products from other venues like flea markets, stores, or fairs; you have to look on your state's official website to get more details.

Another legal consideration is the collection of sales tax and who is responsible for paying it -- the wholesaler, the retailer (you), or the customer. There is no easy answer to this question because it depends on the states where the businesses are located. Some states may require the wholesaler to collect sales tax, while other states may require the retailer to collect the tax. Study the laws for your state and the states you may be doing business in to get guidance; a tax accountant or attorney may also add clarity to the process.

Just wanted to let you know, I bought a few things including the Face Wash which contains Neem Oil.  My youngest son got poison sumac and it quickly spread over the course of the day. I spent $30 on store bought products, and when nothing helped ...

I used a lather of the face wash in a cool shower for him.  The rash was  almost completely gone!!!   He instantly stopped itching, and by the next morning it was almost completely dried out.  I'm convinced it was your product ...  so thank you!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Heather D.  Clayton, IN
